WHAT IS CANCOM?

CANCOM is the Canadian-International conference on composite materials that is held every two years by CACSMA, the Canadian Association for Composite Structures and Materials. CANCOM brings together industry leaders, researchers, and students to share and enrich their knowledge of composite materials used for a wide range of applications.

1988The Canadian Association for Composite Structures and Materials (CACSMA) was formed
1991First CANCOM in Montreal (chaired by Suong Hoa)
1993Second CANCOM (chaired by Bill Wallace)
2001Third CANCOM in Montreal (chaired by Suong Hoa)
2003Fourth CANCOM in Ottawa (chaired by Andrew Johnston and Paul Straznicky)
2005Fifth CANCOM in Vancouver (chaired by Anoush Poursartip)
2007Sixth CANCOM in Winnipeg (chaired by Sean McKay)
2009Seventh CANCOM, in conjunction with the 26th American Society for Composites conference, at the Center for Composites Materials, University of Delaware (chaired by Jack Gillespie and Suong Hoa)
2011Eighth CANCOM, in conjunction with the 28th American Society for Composites Conference, Montreal (chaired by Suong Hoa, Mike Hyer and Ozden Ochoa)
